What editing/processing has taken place in these?

Evening all.

1 of the things I would like to improve on is my technique for post-processing.

I like these images, and I wondered if anyone would be able to let me know what effects you feel have been used in the photos, or what editing has taken place please.

Some of the images have a 'blue tint/feel', some of them have a 'sunburst style overlay', some have a really blurred background (possibly more than what could be achieved with f1.8), and the one of the married couple where they are walking towards the camera, looks a little dark but has a really moody and eye-catching feel to it.

Any hints/links would be most appreciated.

Thanks!

To make the subject appear more sharp, you could try putting a radial filter around your subject, invert it then drop the clarity. Potentially that was done in the first and second pic. Background could also be blurred a lot more in photoshop, unsure how you'd do that though. Looks like the dehaze slider was bumped up in the first pic to make the sky more dramatic, then colours been desaturated. The colours could all be edited using the curves, hsl section and/or colour grading in lightroom. Third pic doesn't look like it's had much done to it, perhaps just the exposure bumped up.

I think the last 3 shots, the light they were taken in is far more important than the edit. You can’t edit in what the final image looks like.

The last 2 are both back-lit with golden-hour sunlight. With the dog, he’s getting beautiful, diffused side-light from the window(s) of the church or whatever that he’s in. He pops because the background is darker and he being lit with a nice large, diffuse light source. The first one looks cool because it’s a wide angle lens shot from a low a low angle and they’ve darkened and ramped up the contrast in the clouds to make them look dramatic. 2 3 and 4 are all about lighting. The dog shot is the stand-out in terms of excellent natural light photography.

The dog shot looks like a composite or an atrifical background or a mix of both. Look at the line of the flag stones leading in from the bottom left corner, above left of that is consistently OOF, below right of that line the focus looks more naturally fading from sharp in the plane of the dog to blurred further back

@Katchit - Why do you assume the images are heavily edited? Maybe the photographers just spent some time setting up the shots and got it right in camera  :$
