What lens?

Would you recommend for a Nikon D3000, Doing events and gigs, e.g. pubs, not to large of a space but large kinda lol if that makes sense!

Whats your budget?
I believe the 50mm 1.8 are meant to be good for these on a tight budget.
Not sure what else is out there though, sure someone with more experience will pop along soon

i'de go for a f1.8 35mm or 50mm prime. both perform well in low light and IQ is up there with the rest and won't break the bank. to find out your preferred focal length set the lens to 35 or 50mm and tape them up so you cant move it. See how you get on from there.
