A late morning shoot with the Mayor with a couple's 65 year of
marriage from the village gave me the chance to go to the marsh
in the splendid and glorious low light of this morning's sunrise.

Just before they reached the shadows and the reach of my usual
combo, I caught these in some kind chasing race. Since I can't
say if they are M or F, I have no way to determine if this is another
territorial dispute or a "catch me if you can" kinda love affair…

Can you?

A dramatic and action packed moment but all a bit too small in the frame for me Daniel.

I think, though, it is big enough to appreciate the behaviour.

Granted it is too small to contemplate the birds but I already
said they were at the farthest reach of my combo and this
image is at 100%!

Most likely a territorial dispute, very typical behaviour at this time. :)

I would go for that conclusion too if I was very sure that these are
two males… but that I am not sure of.

Agree, as said, "action packed".

Which in my opinion, makes it a record shot (especially as both birds are heading out of the frame), of (more than likely) 2 males disputing their territory.

I would say that the spot is worth a re visit, there is certainly potential there.

IMO, a guess… as long as it is not sure they are two males.
