Yes
In light of the other thread, I thought it would be interesting to see what your favourite accessory (not including lens) or accessories you have ever used or purchased. I fear that this thread may end up making me spend a lot more money depending on the answers given.. :D

For me it has to be the Phottix Wireless Remote - absolutely brilliant when using it with bait and birds (of the winged variety) or other furry little animals.

My other accessory has to be the 10 stop B&W screw in filter - it makes beach shots somewhat special when the tide is coming in over the rocks.

This is a very tough call.

I was gonna say that my favourite accessory was CGeezer, but I didn't purchase him.

So, I'm gonna have to go with my RF-602 radio triggers. Saved my ass a couple of times when I knew CLS or optical slaves wouldn't work (and doubles up as a remote camera trigger).

a flashgun (nikon sb600) - really has helped to make a world of difference to my image capturing capabilities.

I've certainly had value for money out of my Better Beamers....they really put some contrast back on a day when the light's a bit flat.

Would have to be my camera bag as I would not be able to carry half the junk I do without it ;)

Tripod
Wireless remote
MiniTrekker.

Without a doubt my Lee filters. I use them for nearly every landscape I take, even if only a 1 stop. Followed closely second by a good tripod+head.

Ah tripod heads, last month I decided to take a risk and opt for a relatively expensive ball head considering it's not a well known name - Feisol. The outercasing is made from Carbon fibre and the quality of the other machined components is second to none.

Definitely one of the best purchases (tripod related) I've made so far.

Cleaning kit.

I'd hate to be without one and it's one thing I could not operate without (accessory wise).

Either the Safari lights kit or the ElitePro lights kit...... Both equally but better for specific jobs!

Probably my mini travel tripod. Small enough to sit in my kit bag (it's about the size of a 70-200) and means I can play with long exposures, welding glass, night shots etc. I don't like lugging a full-size one around, so I'd be missing out otherwise!

an extra battery (memory's already been mentioned!)

oh and a sto-fen diffuser.

Manfrotto 709B mini tripod - used it loads and surprisingly sturdy!

Taking a CF card out the equation (as that is essential) I would say my rocket blower and lenspen. Both used when I change lenses to keep them nice and clean.

1: Manfrotto grip action 3265 ball head.

2: Spudz lens cloth.

3: Welders glass.

Visible Dust Sensor Loupe. Undoubtedly the best accessory you can buy to help you clean your sensor.

And my GPS recording device.

Brugo coffee mug...without coffee I do not function at all...

Paintbrushes for cleaning the external surfaces of the cameras...

Probably my battery grip. As previously mentioned, my camera just doesn't feel right without one now.

New TR331 radio trigger, does the job of an SU800 and for £90!

Just done a search on the TR331 but the web page is in Japlish! So basically you fit it to ANY Nikon camera and then the receiver to an SB800 and it transmits the TTL data back and forth just like the SU800 does fully wirelessly. Does it handle all the channels etc like the SU800 (I know they limit the cameras by 1 channel just to sell more SU800s).

The SU800 will handle multiple SBs though which only having 1 receiver means that the TR331 can't.....

If so then for £90 that is a really good deal if you're using one flash :)

afaik, it's basically just a wireless TTL cable.

They're coming out with a knockoff ST-E2, and have tooled up a knockoff su800 enclosure though, so who knows what's in the pipeline :)

I think it would probably be a choice between my extension tubes, or the Canon intervalometer.

Tubes have been great for my first attempts at close ups, and the intervalometer has been indispensable for setting up my empty streets shots as well as for doing star trails.
