Need help when taking a photo of a moving car, motorcycle, bus etc.......how do you make it look as if the wheels are moving?? :thinking:as the ones i have took only look like they are parked in the street i think if the wheels looked if they were going round it would look more like they are moving thanks

cheers Graham i will give it a go thanks again.......

There's a tutorial on here:

Panning By CT

The main thing is to slow the shutter speed down to allow motion blur, the shutter speed will be relative to the subject speed, for instance shooting F1 cars at full tilt you could use a shutter speed around 400th sec but a car travelling at 30mph down the road a shutter speed of 125th sec or less would be better.

After some practice you'll be surprised how low you can go :D

Start with a quite quick shutter speed and work your way down as nothing will demoralise you more than 99% of shots heading for the bin!

Hope this helps, what is it you want to shoot in particular? motorsport?

Paul.

Thanks for that Paul will give it a go today i am doing a course online and one of the things was to take a pic of a moving car,etc but the wheels had to look as if they were going round so it looked like it was moving cheers again for the lads.
