I have been sending pics via the web and adopted the routine of reducing jpeg pics to 12x9 inches for instance, My question is at what point should any image adjustments be made? If carried out after re-sizing, The image is to small to see the results.

For most images, I do all PP at full-size and then re-size for web-use as the last action performed.
I generally save two versions of every image - one at full-size for print use and one resized for web-use.
There is a school of thought that advocates only sharpening resized images, but for web-use it doesn't really matter...

I keep everything at full size within Lightroom - okay, i'll ship things out and back to CS4 for fancier editing maybe, but basically keep everything at full size. If I need different crops or treatments i'll create a "virtual copy" of the file, complete with appropriate levels of sharpening etc for that version. Only at the point where It needs to leave my machine - either to t'internet, dvd, email or ftp to client's etc. does it get written as a separate file.
