When wedding photography goes wrong

Lol daily mail.

To be fair some of those look like photos taken by guests, but without credited sources (another debate, do they have permission to display these images) its a bit of a non article.

Interesting that a website has watermarked pictures that are obviously not his copyright.

i wonder what the legal implications of displaying images of the people in a defamatory way too.

also have to add, i wonder how many users on here would like photos taken from their website/flickr/etc and posted online so that people could point and laugh at how rubbish they are..

There is one immensely outstanding shot there!!!!

I'm not a fan of the DM, but they're doing a great job lately of pointing out to people why they should hire a reputable wedding photographer.

some funny.. made me smile.. some look a bit staged.. but what am i missing wiht the last one? overhead shot of the bed? not somehting for the album but not bad i thought..

Yes must be good for quality wedding photographers, good advert to avoid the many cowboys, but wait I have a Dslr camera I can therefore set up as a wedding photographer. Lol

Does anyone remember a blog entry from a now professional photographer who hired their friend to do his/her wedding?

Was an awesome blog entry, but awful photos.

Wish i could find that again.

I'd be confident to say that most of these were taken by guests at weddings rather than the designated photographer, as I'm sure even a terrible photographer would not put some of these online where as a guest may find it funny to put them of facebook :suspect:

Thing is though, it doesn't matter what we think of each photo.

For instance, the one with the bridesmaid coming out from under the dress, yes we can sit here and say that it's odd, the brides missing a head etc.

However, perhaps the bride and bridesmaid laugh their heads off each time they see it.

Sometimes, it's the crap pictures that give the best memories.

Got to agree. When I got married sure it was nice to have the posed pictures. But the ones we come back to and that bring smiles to our faces are different. Reminds us of what the day was actually about.

Apart from the Daily Fail where does it say any of these photographs were presented to the bride & groom as there wedding photographs? And as others have pointed out if the bride & Groom enjoy them where is the harm?
