Where do they go?

You know where you used them last, you always do it in one of two places. So you take the lenses out of storage, grab the camera, put the lens on.
Then you go out, take your photos. You come back, leave the camera around.
Couple of days later, you want to pack the camera up, so where did they go?
They have legs, I am sure of it. They move when your back is turned.
No other explaination for it. Definitely.

You know what I am talking about, those darned front and rear end caps for the lenses and camera.
There one minute, gone the next.

Lens caps come off the lens and go straight into my shirt pocket (if warm) or left hand outside pocket( if cold or wet) so I always know where they are. Rear cap goes on the back of the lens that's just come off the camera before it goes in the bag. There's also a spare rear cap affixed to a body cap in the bag.
 
Yep, lens caps go in my right hand pocket if I need them available or they get put in the bag section where the lens came out of. body and rear caps, 1 set is in the camera box there is another stored in one of the pockets I never use in the camera bag just incase I need them.

I can loose anything and everything so I put things in the same place everytime, everything once finished with goes back in the camera bag, camera bag goes back to the same place it lives when not in use or the next time I need it I will not find it. I either suffer from OCD or it is a bit of spending time with my Granddad who was blind and everything always went back where it came from so he knew where it was.

This is the pair I am talking about. Generally (for day trips), I take them off the lens and body at the beginning of the day, at home, where I keep my lenses.
But by the time I get back home, they have eloped together.
 
You really start to worry when you forget where you put the camera... I have so many of them that I am positive there are one or two misplaced.
 
They are a bit like socks :'( you stick 4 pairs in the washing machine..then by the time they are dried you have lost a sock :thinking:
