Where to buy box frames

Who do you guys use for supplying box frames? Best quality and cheapest price.

I have been looking at the ones that GF Smith do but have heard they are not the best print quality. Is there anywhere that do just the box frame and then get my local printers to do the prints.

The trouble is I don't like sending work off and would rather use local people I can so I can sort out any problems face to face.

I have also been thinking of trying the Natural collection GF Smith are doing but again its the same problem with sending off the images and awaiting them through the post.

Does anyone know of anywhere that would sell just the blocks of wood and then again my local printer can do the canvas its just a matter of putting the canvas onto the wood block (probably easier said than done mind)

I hope this makes sense it does to me!!!

I get mine from Maple Framing in Nottingham. Cheap as chips.

A 16x12" wood box frame costs £8.50 (+ vat). A 16x12" print costs £1. So just over a tenner in total.

There's loads of different sizes, panoramic ones too.

Think there's black, white, wood, various other wood colours too.

Oh, and you can make them up yourself. The box frames come with a foam board which you peel the front off, and stick your print down.
Then put the foam board inside the frame with a bit of glue. Job done!

Thanks djs just had a look they look fab for the price. Will be getting myself some samples I think.

you know what? and don't laugh, i was early for a meeting today and saw a "wilkinson's" store and took a mosey around their frames. gotta say, if i had another pair of hands with me, i'd have bought quite a few at their prices.

worth a look if you pass one :)
