I know this may be abit strange as I'm not a pro but here goes.
Back last year I shot my Nieces wedding day for her (she asked me ). After doing her wedding I edited a few for her and printed them off using Asda. They were printed on 10x8 glossy paper which looked ok but my question is this

1 Where is the best place to get photo's printed
2 For wedding photo's would you have them printed on matte or Gloss ?

Anything that's going behind glass will turn into a mirror if printed on gloss paper.

Cheers for that...But what about if she wants to put them just in an album ?

I would suggest using DSCL for printing, as they are reasonably priced; yet the best quality available! ( www.DScolourlabs.co.uk )

Also, the best paper option to use, in my opinion is Lustre. It is like Matt just a little shinier.

Rob :)

Dar,

I'm happy with the quality from Photobox..... but each to their own.....

I've also got the same pic printed at a number of Locations.....

Walters
Click
Tesco
Photobox

Walters was good....
Tesco was the cheapest and still acceptable
Photobox was up there....
Click wasn't as good when looking side by side..

Fantastic customer service, and the prints I receive are excellent.

If they're colour shots then you'll not go far wrong with DS Colour Labs as mentioned above.

If there are a few black and whites in there, I'd push the boat out and get the B&W's printed at Ilfordlabs - a proper silver gelatine print of black and white images will knock their socks off!

Try Asda Lustre - I had some day as a last minute emergency last week and was very pleasantly surprised :)

Thank you all for your replies... I've now have a few to try from.

Any update on this please?

I need to present two images at work framed and either 16x12 or 20x16. I was looking at Peak Imaging but to be honest out of my own pocket it is £100 for the two. However, as the prints will be critically scrutinised for years to come with my name on them I'd rather they look good. Any recommendations, and Darren, what results did you get?

Well as I said I had mine printed off in Asda. I find them to be ok. the paper quality seem fairly good. Only £1.20 for 10x8
