Which All-in-One Wireless Printer

Looking for a new all in one wireless printer with cheap inks. Any clues.
 
I have a Hp deskjet f4580 , prints well but no good for photo paper as the paper has to bend back on itself and any stiff paper will not feed through.

Cheapest inks seem to be from the Kodak range. Have a look as those. Only drawback is they have one single colour cart, not three

I have an HP 3070 which is OK, but wouldn't say the inks are cheap
 
i dont think any ink is that cheap to be honest, printers are made with so little margin if any the manufacturer has to make up margins on ink. i guess that may be a contributing reason why kodak are circling the toilet..
 
I got a Kodak esp c315 all in one currently £70,00 in PCWorld, it is wireless or cable, the wireless works fine. Printing...well its reasonable for the price, I daresay the high end printers might be better. If I want a really good photo printed I'll send it off to a photo printing company. One good thing i like is if you use Kodak photo paper the printer recognises which size the paper is and adjust the printers size accordingly for you, something to do with the back of the paper like using a barcode.

Ink, slightly cheaper than others I've used, noise is typically clunky and rattly when starting up, what does annoy me is the ink that gets used during starting/charging up. Was the same in my old Canon and Epson printers.
 
If it is to use with iOS devices I would advise using one which is AirPrint compatible. That means you can use the native printing in the operating system rather than having to use third party apps.
 
I just bought a Canon MG5250 which so far is very good.

I was going for a Kodak but was put off by some of the reviews i read re reliability.

The canon has WiFi and separate colour cartridges too so should be relatively cost efficient

I've got one of those and use it for most things and thus far it's been great. Had it about six months and haven't changed the cartridge yet. Mind I don't print pictures out on it.
 
The ones that work out the box with the iPad have got "AirPrint", it will be on spec sheets etc if you google.

Some other printers have apps that need to be downloaded onto the iPad to enable printing, I believe the Canon printers fall into this category.
 
I've got an Epson PX720WD, wireless, auto double side printing, direct print on to CD/DVDs AND you can get a refillable ink cartridge set for around £40 (6 empty cartridges,100ml of each colour ink and syringes to fill them)

Can't fault it! Print quality is fantastic too :)

did you know the replacement MG6250 has been out since october and is about the same price? I have it, it's ace!

Really? Cool... Is there much difference? How much is it? I bet a fair bit more than the £20 I got mine for :)

On another note, the disk printing function Is excellent and so is the double sided printing.

Haven't tried printing from iPad to it... Will investigate over the weekend. I did however print directly to it from my old android phone

I have settled for an HP finally but would be interested to know what app you are talking about?

Canon do an app for their printers. As do other manufacturers. Some of the HP ones are AirPrint compatible, so no app needed.
