Which Compact?

My compact camera was lost/stolen last weekend so i'm looking at buying a new one. Just been having a quick look and there are too many out there to choose one! I want a decent one to use instead of my dslr when time and location doesn't allow. My budget is about £150 but could go up to £200. I've been looking at the Nikon P300, but has anyone else got any suggestions?

The Nikon S range of cameras are fairly decent and within budget, very compact indeed, I have a Nikon S230 for clubbing and general picture taking, when the DSLR is too big and awkward for the given situation.
