Which Homepage design?

i am undecided over 2 designs, only difference is one has a banner at the top of the page with a pic i took of skegness pier.

The links are not working yet as i am still working on them. Also the pics on the javascript to the right are only temp images, my motorsport and football ones will be replacing them.

Number 1 if it didn't have the slideshow, otherwise number 2. I don't think it need a photo as a banner AND the slideshow.
