Hi Andy

Kind of depends what your wanting to shoot.

When we went a few years ago, I think the 24-105 range would be great, allows you some close (ish) work and the ability to zoom in on the parades and if they're on the rides and your not.

Have a great time, hope the weather holds

I will mainly be taking taking pictures of my 5 year old daughter as this trip is all for her, but like you say i will want to be shooting the parades and fireworks at night, and also were going to be taking a day away from the parks and into paris itself, visiting the eiffel tower ect.

Not being cheeky here but what about hiring two of the lens suggested, that way you have the best of both worlds. At least when you get there you won't wish you had got the other lens. You've covered both situations. Then you can report back and tell us which lens was most suitable for the occasion.

Might mean you missing out on a few drinks to pay for them of course
