I'm looking into buying a second hand Canon DSLR.

Can people give me some recommendations for which ones to look at and what kind of prices they go for ?

I've seen a Canon 1000D with kit lens for £200. is this about right ? is it any good ?

Just planning on using it for everyday use, maybe add a bigger lens later on. Also at some point it maybe used for Astro-photography.

Is there any camera dealers/second hand dealers in your area. I would suggest taking a trip down and handling a few of the different body's and seeing which feels comfortable in the hand. You may have small hands or hands the size of shovels!,lol. Get a feel of what you like, and even if they are new bodies from a dealer, at least you will know what it feels like if one comes up second hand. :thumbs:
 
knowing my luck the one best suited to my hands will be the most expensive :D

I just need some rough prices and recommendations. Once i know whats good etc... i can then go and try them out.
