Which wi-fi adapter?

I'll need a wi-fi adapter for a few weeks - can anyone recommend a good one? There are two floors between me and the router if that makes a difference!

I have an engenius usb adaptor that has an external antenna, gives a good signal but the only way you will be able to tell is to try an adaptor and see because there could be anything between you and the router.
