Who stole my pictures

I just got my first ipad today and wanted to upload my pics to it. I had itunes with pics on my iphone so thought i knew the process but its not working. I go to the pictures section of my itunes, tick the files i want to upload and sync. On the ipad it shows all the folders i ticke but with no images inside, i tap the folder and i get a message saying " No photos or videos "...If looking at itunes it shows over 4gig of images but non are showing at all.. Anyone any ideas...

Resync the iPad, if they still don't show up turn it off and restart it. I've had that a couple of times.

I have been syncing most of the night,have switched it off a few times as well.In itunes it shows over 9000 images but if i look at the settings/images then it shows -zero.. As said the folders are all there but no images.Itunes says analysing then importing but still nothing.

Have a Google for iOS5 missing photos. There are a few fixes suggested, and one of those might solve the problem.

Cheers. I have unticked all folders then did a sync-all ok. I then ticked only 2 folders and they have copied fine. Will start adding folders one at a time in the morning---Cheers for the help.

Are u using the photos in the ICloud???
