Love both the shots

The Tornado is the better of the 2 as everyone else has pointed out, but the Jaguar is at a great angle and the vapour from the wing tips finishes it off nicely.

Lens used was 300mm
how close (Very Close)

this was at its closest point at 300m with no cropping at all

as to any hearing Left (no)
I got blasted by a Eurofighter at Warton about a year ago and talk about blown away, I was stood on a stepladder and the Eurofighter came in to land about 20yrds above me - then aborted the Landing and gave it some afterburner
it totally shocked my senses and my head was ringing for an hour after that
sounds funny now... but I can assure you it was not at the time
I now take little cotton ear defenders most of the time
