I'm surprised anyone bothered to give the op an answer, given his pathetic attitude towards people trying to help...:nono:

When I first arrive at the Zoo this lion was doing a bunch of crazy stuff and I started taking a bunch of pictures and couldn't understand why the meter was jumping from over to under exposure every time I took a shot and started to think that there was something wrong with the camera then it dawned on me that I had been learning about bracketing the night before and when I looked at the camera settings the bracketing was still turned on..........when I switched it off the lion yawned and went back to sleep and I missed it all.........makes me want to go out and get a kodakColour looks a bit off. It that in Night mode?
PS That's a joke Neil!!!![]()

The D7000 does have that function, I just haven't got around to using it yetSo a valuable lesson learnt. If you change your settings away from your 'normal' or expected mode, always change them back again at the end of a shoot. I always leave my camera in AV, ISO 100, auto white balance as a starter.
not sure what you mean herePortrait or landscape?!

Iso has nothing to do with the difference in color. It could be that you bumped your Scene Mode, such as being set on Landscape, and bumping it to a custom Sepia mode, etc. Or it could be the auto white balance was thrown off. That doesn't happen outdoors too often, that drastically (mostly happens indoors), but within that one minute, if you turned a bit, it could have picked up more clouds, changing it from sunny to cloudy, etc. But I'm guessing you bumped the scene into a different one.I took both these pictures within one minute why so different![]()

Is that your wife?![]()

I don't know if it is available on Nikon bodies, but on my 5D I can set a custom mode, so that whenever I switch it on it is in AV mode, ISO 100, AWB, raw, one shot AF and f2.8.
Simple answer is NEVER EVER USE AUTO WHITE BALANCE!!!!!!!!!! It is the most useless thing ever on a camera.
