Any advice on wide angle lens for Nikon with landscape photos

One issue with wide angle lenses for landscape is that that lovely mountain can suddenly look like a mole hill in the far distance.

But other than that, APS-C or FF? Zoom or prime? and how wide?

I use Canon (APS-C) camera bodies and use a 15-85mm as a walkabout/general purpose lens. The 15mm end is wide enough (equivalent FOV to 24mm on FF) for most of my needs. I think the Nikon equivalent is the 16-85mm VR

If you don't want 'just' wide angle, then you can't go far wrong with a Sigma 17-70. I had one a few years ago before I changed to full-frame.

It's a great little lens.

Fully agree. Sharp, solid and does a decent macro/close up too. For a wider check out the Sigma 10-20mm.

The Nikon 12-24mm f4 is very good value used. New they are over £1000 but can be brought second hand in good condition for about £220.

There is the Tokina 12-24/4 and the Nikkor 10-20mm. Plenty of affordable options.

If you don't need to wide there is always the 16-35/4 VR Nikkor.
