From the second picture, Mike, I see that your combo is too low!

The axis of the top joint should be tack centred to the barrel of the
lens minus two millimetre (my recommendation!)

The suggestion will allow greater vertical movement and is desirable
if you want to have the maximum… though there is no other inconve-
nience. :cool:

Thanks for your kind comment and advice

but I think the low viewpoint makes the combo look a little different than it actually is

I always center the lens on the gimbal - but I have just sold that lens.
