Will this lens work on canon 60d

I am getting a 60d as a get well prezzy. But would like to know if the Tamron 200-500 sp af di ld. lens will work ok with the above camera.

if it works on your 400d it will work on your 60d

There is always a small possibility with third party lenses that they won't work on newer bodies (they have to reverse engineer), so it isn't definite it will work on a newer body.

Google it, if there is an issue (I doubt it though), people will have noticed it by now.

Otherwise, it'll work fine .

Ef-s lenses won't work on a full frame body , but ef lenses will work on both .

Yours is not full frame .

I have had a look around and found this.
The designation “Di” (Digitally Integrated Design) marks a generation of lenses, which have been specially adapted to the higher requirements of digital SLR cameras (APS-C and full frame).

So I just got to wait for the 60d to arrive.
