Windows installer not working?

Trying to install Winzip and I keep getting the error message that windows installer isn't working once it tries to set up.

Any ideas what could be causing this? Not had a problem in the past - Is there somewhere I can check that Installer is OK or get another version?

Found the download on MS site, but how do I know what platform to download? I am running Vista.

The file could be corrupted. Try going to winzip.com and get a fresh copy.

Or you could try Winrar. You can find it here.

I've tried downloading winzip and that is where the problem starts - I get an error message at install. I have already got winrar, but for some reason it won't open this specific winzipped file.

I've also now found the windows installer download and that shows that there's no update available - Mmmm, god knows what's happening!!
