No
Windows diagnostic says audio ok, with sound coming from speakers
Microphone and speakers work ok in Zoom
No sound with media player, or youtube
No system sounds - eg startup, new mail etc
Updated driver
Still no good

Was fine a couple of days ago

Ideas?

Check the 'volume mixer' (right click on the speaker icon in the status bar) and check that everything is turned up.
You may have the volume down on the apps that don't currently have volume.

No problem with volume mixer. All set to 100% - testing system sounds results in silence

I would check to make sure audio for media isn't being routed to a different output device: headphones or a bluetooth speaker for example.

I get something similar when using my Sony W500 wireless buds, it can display two devices for the same buds - one seems to be headphones mode and works with all the usual apps, the other is headset mode which works in Teamview etc.

Can you pop a screenshot of your Output devices?

Also, what does it show here when you've got YouTube open? (in the apps section)
