Wiping Sandisk SD?CF cards

After having done formatting a Sandisk CF card both via camera and computer I ran it through the Scandisk Resue Pro Delux disk. Have to say the amount of data still on the disk I was amazed at. Yes I understand that formatting as above doesn't remove the data, only the pictures, but how much can a card take of "hidden" data take? depending on size of course.

It seems the only way to completely clean a Scandisk card is to wipe it via Scandisk Resue Pro.

Why do you want to erase the data?

If it's that vital then format it in a PC and uncheck the 'quick format' box.

Since you have that software, why njot use it? Doesn't take it too long to deal with cards up to 4GB and after running it through the software, the card is clear.

If you're running XP then you're correct. If you're running Vista or Win7 then you're not. LINK.

Just use the software, it does it fine and quickly too
