Wireless Release Trigger

Hi All

I'm on the look out for a wireless remote trigger, to use on my car rig. I currently use a Nikon D7000 for the rig, as It's my older camera, But will be purchasing a D810 in the next couple of months. I want the remote to be useful to both camera.

Any ideas on what to buy? looking on the fab eBay, there are plenty to choose from but they all look cheaply made. I currently use a wired nikon release

The "normal" wireless ones are IR

I can't claim to have done any sort of comparison and so I can only speak of the one I own, but my Hahnel Giga T Pro II has always worked flawlessly.

For cheap and cheerful (and reliable) try the yongnuo triggers - I use the RF603N ones, you'll need a different cable for the D7000 than the D810 but they work the same way.

Another option is the wireless trigger kit by Camtraptions. Their stuff is well regarded within nature photography circles, and the company was setup by a talented nature photographer who wanted gear to meet his needs.
