Would it be the best camera?

Nikon D3000, Do you think its a good camera for landscape, Close shots, and portraits?
Reason im saying this is because I cant really afford a very good camera, and i have a limit, Which i have set myself to.
I have set it to £400-£450 Max

On another note, Could anyone tell me how to upload pictures onto the site?
resize them to 800 max any side and 200kb...the upload them to a host site..i use imageshack...then you copy the url for forums from that site to your post page...

i would think with that camera you can get the range you want...i think its a very good camera from where i am standing
