Yashica 124G

I’ve more or less got the camera set up, and the first film is away at Filmdev (XP2). However, the meter is miles off, compared with 2 other cameras (Z6 and Contax RTS) plus an iphone app, despite a brand-new Wien battery.
Simple question, is there a way of calibrating the CDS meter?

Thanks Peter - I'll have a good look at those. Must admit I never noticed any potentiometers when I was in changing the screen, but then I wasn't looking. Worth a twiddle. Otherwise I'll just use modern technology on my telephone!

Well I've had a good furtle around and altered the potentiometers (which I found by removing a cover which looked a bit butchered), but not made any difference. I've cleaned the contacts with quick-drying contact cleaner, but it's still steadfastly over-exposing by 2-3 stops. Rather than trust it and compensate, I'll get by the old-fashioned way and use the app on my phone. One less thing to carry than a manual meter. Of course, the first thing is to wait till I get the snaps back from the chemist then decide if it's worth persevering.

I've never used the meter in my 124G. I presume it works, but I read a number of reports saying it wasn't the most reliable of instruments, so I just use my Sekonic Twinmate.

I’ve checked the phone app (Lux) and it agrees with my Z6, so that will do.
