Does anybody know what the benefits of the Bessa R2 are over the Bessa R, is it a huge improvement?

What are the major differences? Should I look for the later version?

And is there something else of similar spec and price I should consider?

The R2 is M mount so can use more lenses than its screw mount predecessor.
