Zoom lens.... 70mm +

Hey Guys.

I have just sold my Canon 70-300mm IS USM as it was pretty much brand new, I just wasn't using it. There was no point keeping it and it is now funding for a lens im going to get more use from (a sigma 24-70 f2.8)

BUT!

I still wouldn't mind having a nice zoom lens in my kit bag 70-200/300... just for a bit cheaper.
This would be just a fun lens (airshows, wildlife and I would maybe use at a wedding if the light was good enough)

It has to be a nice sharp lens if possible for my budget.

I have a budget of about £150.00 as im buying a new body soon too.

What are your suggestions for this price range.

I've got one of these and it's an excellent lens , very pleased with it.

I had a 55-250 IS, it was tack sharp - A great lens I found. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Canon EF-S 55-250mm IS. Head and shoulders above any other lens in its class. Sharp, small, light, close-ish focus, smooth and well made, v good IS. Used ones in For Sale forum sell very quickly
