Scratch the telephoto itch....
Currently weighing up pro's and cons of the new Tamron 50-400 (new) vs Sony 100-400 (used) to be used with an A7IV
I've looked at Youtube reviews of the Tamron and it seems to review very favourably in comparison to the Sony. Just wondered if anyone has any real...
Have taken the plunge to move from Nikon to Sony and ordered an A7 IV and have a couple of weeks now to decide on my first lens.
From the reviews I have read I cant seem to go wrong with either Tamrom 28-70 2.8 or Sigma 28-70 2.8 so are there any opinions to choose one over the other?
Also is...
Pretty old stuff really I got rid of the proper glass a few years ago when I lost interest so now just have D600, 24-120 F4, 85mm 1.8G, SB 600. I was originally contemplating a Z6II but have been hankering after Sony for a while.
Hi. not sure if this is the best thread to post this question so please delete or move if it isn't.
I'm considering moving from Nikon to Sony and I assume in this thread nobody will tell me that a bad move :)
I'm looking at the A7 IV and am undecided on if getting it with the kit lens is wise...
Thanks for the responses some great advice.
I need to go and handle the camera for sure as I haven't done that, I do want to change systems though as I just have a desire to learn something new again. I think budget wise I cannot stretch to the A9 and also get a decent lens to get me going so I...
Ive been thinking of making the switch from Nikon DSLR to Sony so have been lurking on many internet groups and forums to learn what I can to help me decide which brand to follow. The one thing I have noticed is there a lot less moaning goes on when people talk Sony compared to Nikon and Canon...
I bought a SJCAM SJ4000 a couple of years ago, its basic but footage is bloody brilliant. Not sure if you can still get them but i would get a couple more if i could. I think I paid about £60 and it came with loads of mounts and accessories.
Like you we visit Florida for 3 weeks every summer...
I only have limited experience with Blackberry batteries and one for my d600. Both failed very quickly the D600 battery would lose 50% charge after 50 shots and the blackberry battery swelled up over night to the point the back cover kept popping off.
I'd never even looked at one of your posts until a week ago and I now I look forward to seeing what you've been up to. These are another great set and for a complete beginner as me it looks like you have a real talent for capturing portraits. My only comment on these would be that the skin tones...
I had this dilemma for the TV in my Conservatory, I have a £2k plus system in my living room which sounds amazing and always felt that the TV where I spend most of my time needed something better that the tiny speakers built into LCD's.
I looked into Sound bars and settled on a JBL SB400 now...
Well I pulled the trigger today and ordered the Nikon 85mm 1.8 so all in all a good day, D600 back from Nikon with a clean sensor and new toy making its way to me overnight.
I think this thread is going to cost me some money but has also saved me some too as this was a really good discussion on the merits of these lenses. Thanks to all those that took part.
Just had confirmation mine will be returned to me tomorrow, the emailed service invoice states that the Shutter Unit was replaced.
Perhaps you could contact them with your serial number and they should be able to tell you what if any work has been done.
