I'm not too sure how to explain this one. I have an FX lens on my D4 and when I look through the viewfinder it has blacked out the left and right side of the frame as if it's in a crop mode. I have no idea why this is happening. I have turned off auto crop mode even though I have an fx lens...

When I have accidentally formatted my compact flash cards without realising I still had photos on them I use a program called Stellar Phoenix Recovery or Sandisk Rescue Pro Deluxe which both work well, but both cost money.
