    Auto extension ring set

I also need guidance on which extension rings to buy for canon EOS. Reviews suggest that some “drop” the lens, others short out the camera, auto ones are required to stop down the aperture but at prices ranging from twenty to one hundred and fifteen pounds, only previous purchasers experience...

    EOS7d owers help

My lenses are a 120-300, 150 macro, 18-125 all Sigma and a 500 Canon. I used to have a 135-400 sigma that had to be chipped. As I was the original owner, Sigma did it for a fiver.

    EOS7d owers help

Thanks for all your suggestions. I've found the manual and have cleared all custom functions. Two lenses are now working, I've not tried the others. I had it set up for BIF but I must have added a crippler inadvertently.

    Help Best Bridge camera please.

My wife has had a SX30 IS for about three weeks now. She's getting more pleased with it every time she takes it out. I wasn't aware there was another 35x zoom so the alternative was the Fuji HS20 which has no powered zoom and is only 30x. If the canon did Raw it would have been my choice too.

    gimbal head

I've a lensmaster too and am well pleased. I use it with a 500mm f4 +1.4 extender and it easily copes with that.

    Puffins on Inner Farne

Funny you should ask that question. i took a 150-500 to the Farne Islands last year. Prior to this years trip last week I reviewed my pictures specifically looking at focal length used. I no longer have the 150-500 so my choices were 120-300 or 500. I chose to take the former and have no...

    gimbal advice please

I was told recently that Calumet do a gimbal equal in quality to a Wimberly but a lot less expensive. There is another called a Lensmaster for less than £140. That looks interesting.

    CD label print

Thanks for the reply. Are you using a Mac? After failing with mine I went to a PC and everything worked fine. It was my first cd print also. I'm pleased with how it worked on the PC, It's just the Mac I'm having trouble with.

    CD label print

Has anyone used the CD label print that comes with the Canon MG6150. I've had no trouble with it on a PC but on the Mac, after making the label and asking it to print, a message should appear to insert the disc holder into the printer. It doesn't happen. It could be the interface between label...

    Which Printer should I get?

It looks like the IP4850 fills all my criteria except no Wifi interface. I'm amazed Canon havent included it it.

    Sigmas "Optical Stabilizer"

It is true that a settling time should be allowed when using OS, about a second I think after the whirring starts. I've not seen it not recommended for action shots. if panning then the switch should be in position 2 on Sigma lens.

    Jpeg formats

Thanks Adam but I did mention that all three files are between 2-3 meg each. and the one that works is not the smallest. To prove I'm not feeding you duff info I have just printed one of the offending photos on an old Stylus photo. The problem is with the file recognition on the Picturemate...

    Lens info sort

I used to have a Sigma Apo 135-400 that I used on a Canon EOS 1000F. When I bought a 350D Sigma rechipped the lens for £5. The good deal was because I was the original owner. Email them and ask the question.
