Try using the kit lens first. Then if you find that you mostly shoot at 18mm, 35mm etc you can consider investing in a prime lens of your most frequently used focal length.
I have owned a few different Canon G-series cameras over the years and they have all been great fun to shoot with. They are an easy recommend.
I quite like Nikon's 1 series as well. What does an original Fuji X100 fetch second hand? That is still a terrific camera.
Can anyone recommend a really good tripod and head combo that fits these requirements...?
Well made, reliable and very stable
Capable of supporting up to 5kg of camera or other equipment without strain
Capable of being easily transported from car to studio and back (but not necessarily lugged...
Hi,
I shoot Nikon a) because I have historically preferred the ergonomics of Nikon bodies and b) because I have a collection of Nikon lenses. Honestly though I doubt that there's really any appreciable difference in image quality between equivalent Canon and Nikon cameras.
Not without the camera kit or a third party equivalent. You might want to consider an Android tablet, many of which have USB ports and card readers built-in.
