Maybe you can try using a rocket blower first? It's easy to do, doesn't require much skill, and solves the problem most of the time :)

That's interesting. I was thinking of buying a hard grad as well. What the diameter size of your lens? Can the dark area cover all of a 77mm lens?

It depends on the type of photography I guess - 1DIII might be better than 1DsIII for sport & wildlife.

For the price of a new 5DII you can buy a used 5D and maybe 70-200 f/2.8L to replace your 70-300. Don't forget, a fullframe like 5D (I or II) is quite a demanding camera (esp the 21 mp on 5DII), you really need good lens to go with it if you want the quality it can offer. If you buy 5DII, it...

Have you thougt about buying 1.4x, 2x extenders to make your 200mm (and other lens) longer? Although I think having 2 bodies is also nice especially if you are a pro.
