http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04kntlk There's a documentary on Friday night, it's a "making of" type film having seen a trailer. People in England and Wales can get it via their SKY box if they have one.

    Connecting D3X to Windows Computer

Hi Guys and Gals, Managed to purchase a D3X quite reasonably, without manuals, cables boxes etc.. The camera is far better than I am, but I thought I'd try and take a couple of shots this evening to see what it was like. Got home and I'm unable to connect it to my computer. I just thought I...

Astro shot - Sh2-115 and Abel 71 in mono

I'm always amazed by these pictures. 1) Finding what you want to take a picture of and 2) The amount of time it takes to capture the image. Well done.

I girl I know works for a Russian Oligarch whom I've never heard of. She's a flight attendant, her partner is the Pilot. They work 2 on, 2 off. For the two weeks they work they could end up anywhere, and I mean anywhere. There's lots of people that aren't famous with lots of money.....

    What's The Best Way ????

Thanks for the advice and suggestions everyone. At dawn, the sun would be coming up over my left shoulder. The image above was shot late-ish last Friday night. Sunrise up here at the moment is 4.27am which will make it an early start. Hadn't thought of props Neil, I may well have a look at...

    What's The Best Way ????

I appreciate what you're saying. I've got two points of interest in the image and neither of them have been captured very well. I'll maybe get one of the plaque with a shallow DOF and a nice wide shot of the tree with the hills in the background. Next question, how would you put them together...

    What's The Best Way ????

HRH Tree by patwildblood, on Flickr Prince Charles planted a tree last year for the Queens Jubilee at the local golf club. I'd like to send him a picture of the thriving tree and plaque that we've put in. Any tips regarding composition please. It's quite difficult to get the plaque readable...

44 years old and a trip to hunstanton

I'm no expert at all, but I think the sunset shot could have been improved if you'd have used a smaller aperture (photo taken at F8), thus achieving the "sunburst" effect. F16 might have better. Though I appreciate you said you had little time. #4 for me too.

    Fenton Magistrates Court/Town Hall

I'm no planning officer but I'm amazed that that building isn't listed. Is that a war memorial at the front ? Surely that can't be demolished.
