Just a quick grab of a cub, no more than a week or so old, sunning itself in the brambles at the back of my garden.
No processing, other than a crop.
Looks like there are 3 of them about with mum, so hopefully be able to get some better ones soon.
I recently had a hard disk problem with an ageing pc. It meant that the current installation of XP was no longer bootable, but the rest of the PC was fine. I simply bought a new hard drive and was then faced with the dilemma of re-installing XP, or going another route. Given the impending demise...
Gotta say I totally agree with this.
Too many people are hung up on 'the rules', and rule of thirds in particular. It suits some shots but most definitely not all. :nono:
Get out there and express your individuality. Unless you have been commissioned by someone, it's YOUR picture, and...
I like both of these. However, I do think that there is a noticable blue cast and it especially affects the stones that are present in the foreground of the second shot. My eye was immediately drawn to them and my first reaction was, "that looks a bit unnatural".
Following the comments above I've tried cropping to get rid of some of the sky and right hand side but cant come up with a version that I like.

As usual, C&C welcome.

Will have a go at the PP again on the second...

Not my usual style but thought I'd try something a bit different. C&C welcome. Be gentle with me ;)
Reminded me of one I found earlier this year.

At least they tried to put it in a skip!!
Agree with steve about the focus even if you'd prefer the subject not to be there.
As everyone seems to have indicated it's a toss up between 1 and 4.
Personally I go for number 4, the lead in to the shot is much better, in ! you get distracted by the open space under the first arch, whereas in 4 it leads you to look all the way along the length of the structure.
Absolutely...
