I only have 2 lenses really, the 18-55 which it came with and that I havent used in ages, and the 50mm which only cost me £50, so I'm not losing much by selling my Canon. I would just like a kit that packs more of a punch.

I have a friend selling his d7100 for £500 but I'm not sure if it may be a little too advanced for me, I don't want to be baffled with lots of camera features. I did think about keeping the 1000d but you can get so much more for your money these days and I would really like a sound base to start...

Well the sigma lens is on long lease from a family member so it's not mine as such and the other 2 lenses are cheap and cheerful so I don't mind selling them and investing in others, but I will have a look at those canon models. Thanks.

Ok thank you for all of your replies. Ill take your advice and stick with my Canon and just invest in a better lens for now. I do have a good basic kit, ive lost a little motivation with my photography and I think I was hoping a new camera might kickstart it again!

Thanks for the replies. Seeing as the guidelines state that it's really only the jewellery department that prohibits photography ill see if I can get away with it, the camera is coming to london with me anyway - I'll probably find it's too busy in there anyway to start taking pictures though.
