Yes but if E-infin sell it, drop Panamoz a message and see if they'll come closer to E-Infin's price. They may not, but they may knock a few bob off too
Thankyou both and I have done just that on a couple of items!Agreed. Panamoz will regularly shift their price closer to E-Infinity’s if there is a significant disparity. In my experience they’ll stop short of matching it, quoting their far superior warranty. Which is fair enough.
I returned my lens to a UK address. So stating value is not an issue, I suspect they may just keep it to sell to someone else direct from the UK. As for customs value. I have never seen a low value declaration added to any shipping note, either internally or stuck to the box.Does anybody have experience returning goods to E-Infinity within 14-days. I'm curious if there are any extra taxes applied or I'm just paying for shipping it back? Also when sending it back do I specify the full price of the goods? In my case it would be over 1,500 EUR, just curious if customs are fine with it. I'm asking because I saw somewhere people saying that E-Infin evaluates the parcels like 100 EUR when shipping. Not sure if that's true.
Reading through these posts, I ask why do people risk buying expensive grey goods, with all the hassles this entails, and with all the problems that a defective item or accidental damage will entail.
Looks like they play games with import taxes ans VAT as well.
Got it thank you. Just to make sure I understood you correctly. When sending the package back did you specify the actual value of the gear? Just want to be sure they'll do customs clearance on their own if needed without charging me extra money. I was confused because, from their point of view, they're importing the goods.I returned my lens to a UK address. If it's sent within the UK it won't go through Customs.Got it thank you. Just to make sure I understood you correctly. When sending the package back did you specify the actual value of the gear? I see. Sorry, I got confused by this. In my case, I'll be sending it from Lithuania though ( I think I'll just specify the actual value and let E-Infin deal with it. I hope it will be fine. I'm a bit scared of specifying intentionally lower prices. If it's sent within the UK it won't go through Customs.
Yes, don’t do that.I'm a bit scared of specifying intentionally lower prices
I only returned the lens to their UK address so it didn't leave the country. Therefore no need for a customs declaration.Got it thank you. Just to make sure I understood you correctly.
