I really like the look of the Wotancraft Scout, I can't get a reply out of them for delivery to the UK though

Thanks, have now read some where that the Canon 5D mk 3 has the same screen size as XT-1, will let you know if I have wasted a tenner later today.I had a look for one but I don't think the normal 3" one will fit. It only just covered my X100s screen, which was 2.8".
If its any help, I used an Expert Shield protector ( Amazon) . It fits perfectly, goes on easily ( if you're careful) and looks good. Its perfectly clear, not the matt finish and comes with a lifetime guarantee.
I bought one for my X-Pro 1 too.

First Fuji wedding today, two X-T1s and an X100s, throwing myself in at the deep end.
Will have the D3s/35mm within reach just in case though...
They replied this morning They are working on the bag at the moment and will be ready to ship early August with free international shipping...
But that wont include taxes will it?
No, import and vat would need to be paid. I'm going to try out some other options whilst I'm waiting, but I do like it so may treat myself

The above brackets are available on ebay if anyones interested, along with a Sunway one. You can tell what I have been watching

Twist, have you any experience of the above mentioned brackets when used on your XP1 ?? I think I prefer the look of the i-shoot one, any thoughts before I pull the trigger. I had the official grip on the Xp1 so havent tried any of these aftermarket grips before. I think the current large Fuji grip is a little juicy @ £120.00
Also, first impressions of camera??
Bearing in mind I am using 2 of Fujis slowest AF lenses, the 35 and 56.
Is the 56 one of Fuji's slower focusing lenses? Its not blisteringly quick on mine, and doesn't compare to the D800, but having said that its always very accurate, even wide open
Yes, which is understandable I suppose, lots of glass to move and a wide aperture. Accuracy doesnt have much to do with speed though does it. Its also very accurate and sharp wide open on my XT1, very nice lens.
certainly is. I'm just wondering cause I've missed a couple of things with it. But I suspect thats down to me not being very used to the camera yet
The Fujis do take a bit of getting used to, Ive used a few and tbh the XT1 is the best to own/start with, the other CSCs were very annoying ime, X100s was decent though. Is it missing after you get a lock? Static or moving subjects?
Moving, the major problem I have is sticking my thumb I my eye when I try to BBf. I'll get there though. It is a great combo
"AFAIK don't use BBF, its quite a bit slower than shutter AF on the XT1. Coming from BBF on my Nikon I was surprised by this."
Noticed the focus area is quite big - with no option to reduce size??- when using BBF
Will do, cheers for that
Not really checked that, surprising though.
Also, my AF box is 2 clicks up from smallest.
Also make sure that your focus point is in the centre.
Not just center but also some surrounding points, they will show anyway, i think there are 9 of them.
According to the email I got from fuji, the £250 voucher is only valid till the end of August. This means that we should have the lens soon a let's hope in July. I would like to try it first before I commit myself to buying it
Can you point me to detail for this? Is this offer available at the moment?
@Swanseajack
I have just bought one of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/Quick-Relea...od-/171376883513?ssPageName=ADME:L:OC:GB:3160
Got a similar item from this seller for my X-E1 and was very impressed with the quality, service was excellent, kept me informed and arrived in about 2-3 weeks.
No problems with fit on a Markins Arca Swiss Ballhead, same applies to my smaller Photoclam head
Posted a couple of pictures here http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/threads/fuji-x-e1-x-e2.433415/page-27#post-6293420 of the one I bought previously

I note the L plate has a grip on it as well - does anybody know if one is made for the XT1 and where can you get it from?@Swanseajack

Hopefully! I've had the "Thank you for registering your XT1" mail but still waiting for the voucher. Not too worried - I didn't know about the offer until I was about to put the box up in the loft!
@architectfadi , I know what you mean but I've been so impressed with all the Fuji lenses so far that I can't really see them offering us a lemon. The 18-135 range will cover almost every need I have (and most of the wants!) other than the super wide angles and the WR will make it the perfect partner to the XT. Looking forward to it arriving.
