I've been toying with this idea for a while now, I'm lucky enough to have travelled a great deal and I enjoy taking photos from my aeroplane. These have been taken over the years and I'm under no illusion that they are good photos but I thought I'd share them for general interest. Starting in UK:

Interesting viewpoint,think Ayers Rock tops the list imo but all worthy (y)

The silverstone pic is great. Shows the size of the entire complex, wish you could get shots like that through the windows in economy... :LOL:

Really liking these. Makes me want to buy a cheap flight somewhere....just not with ryanair....
 
Great photos!

Don't you get told off though for taking pictures? I always thought that I was going to get yelled at - because by the time you get a clear view of cities of POI's the seatbelt signs are on and electronic devices are supposed to be off.... unless you shoot film???!!!
 
Great stuff - love the Scottish Borders image.

Have you thought of doing a blurb book with them in and selling them? They really are amazing!
 
Fantastic shots! Whenever I'm on a plane all I can see is the bloke blocking the window. lol.
 
Great thread and great images, I know travelling can be boring sometimes but these images would make up for it I'm sure.

Some fabulous images here - what a great thread. I've never managed to get images as good as these from an aircraft - and if I'm lucky enough to get a window seat the window's usually dirty or misted, lol!!! Looking forward to more of these :)

These are fantastic!
Love the one of Windsor Castle - my daughter is in the Blues and Royals Mounted Household Calvary and based there.
