You seem to specialise in monochrome (one colour but not black and white) images and they work really well.
I had never even thought about that until now. It has been years since I took these types of images and one of the reasons for joining the challenge was to get me back to creating images. I love simple images and that goes for the two genres I shoot most often, Sports and Landscapes. I suppose monotone is an extension of that. Thanks for the kind words and making me think about what I have been creating as a collective

Really pleasing image with nice amount of space all around. I'm in two minds about the left hand side of the reflection which does not have the full outline and breaks the illusion a bit, but maybe I'm being overly critical.

That annoyed me too but it was very hard to see what was going on with the dog leash in one hand and trying not to get my knees soaking wet. I might actually look at some of the other shot as I moved the bottle around and used a different coloured one too but this jumped out from the thumbnails and as usual I just wanted to get a quick edit done and move on to the next adventure

This was a few images later and I discarded it as the horizon was miles off. This was taken as a portrait so I was shooting pretty much blind and used autofocus and hoped for the best. I should have picked this one and should have set up on this wee patch of beach as I had no cloning to do at all on this image. The first I had to lose quite a few pebbles and bits and bobs that were darker and caught the eye too much.

Nice colours and proportion in your bottle image Simon.
Quick thinking and a great location.

Life got in the way so a wee bit late for week 5. Not very inspirational but I am hoping to start some more Dog photography and I want to base it around action and movement. Anyone that has shot cars and tried to pan at 1/60th will tell you it isn't that easy. Well multiply that considerably when your subject is going up, down, left to right and at a completely random speed as the chase was short. I was looking for the ball just about to be caught in the mouth but never quite nailed that and this was the one I liked best as it was one of the few where the whole head was still and I liked the position of the legs showing the movement

The dogs face and eyes are pretty much in focus. The motion in the legs works well. I wish I could do panning shots like this.

Always love a good dog shot and this is no exception. Very interesting with the blurring of the legs.

That’s worked well! Pure concentration on the lab’s face and plenty of movement in the leg department. Great shot!

Nice panned pooch pic :)

I do like the still head and the blurry paws the image shows ... very nice

Very late again but here is my week 5 submission. The weather has been horrible so I just never had the inclination to head out to complete the shot. This is locally known as the Rat's Tail and it save a good 10 minutes walk. It is being carve deeper but a steam of water and the surface that you walk on is now v shaped and eroded.

That's very cool Simon, is it carved through a hedge? Or are they vines on the walls?
