They tend to be manic events, especially on the narrow lanes. You can get some great facial expressions and atmosphere though. I did the Urban Hill Climb last year

Do you mean deeper DoF, not shallower? DoF will grow as the smallest aperture goes up from f/2.8 to say f/5.6. Personally I wouldn't advise using a 2x converter. The 1.4 converter is design to minimise the loss of F stops.

Carlo, You have every right to be pleased with that shot. There is a lot that is good about it, reasonably background, blurred by tight DoF, good focus, frozen by nice fast shutter speed, and some drama. So the fundamentals are good. Personally I would crop out the right hand player...

Andy, It's a lovely image, but I would have hoped to see something that spoke of "3 peaks", though I suspect you have plenty of context in your other images.

Good quality images. It's always difficult to make Time Trial images interesting. Most of the time you end up with an image of a guy on a bike in the middle of frame, with little context or drama. Image 3 is good because it gives some context and drama. 1 & 2 are good quality but 4 to 6 are...

I agree with Chimper, 1 is great (for me the best). Usually the tape is a pain but the processing and nice lines have turned it into a feature. Actually quite clever!
