Thanks. I think she just wants rid of it but I'd like to think there's someone out there who would be disappointed if it was just thrown away.

I know someone who has a load of gear that belonged to her late husband. From what I can gather it's from the 60's and 70's. Is there either any value in it either financial or sentimental? Would be a shame if it could fall into better hands and it didn't.

Thanks for the replies everyone, it's always nice to gather opinions before spending a loads of cash! I would dearly love to get into the 1D series but even though I can afford it, I can't really justify it. I don't make any money out of what I do and it would kind of put me in the pro bracket...

I bought the 90D because it said that it handled noise better but it was no different to the 7D in that respect.
