Thanks, but quite frankly the bells and whistles on this camera are somewhat intimidating......first time ever I may have to read the manual :)

I'm curious to what day to day filters you use and leave on your Panasonic FZ1000, if at all. CPL, UV....any recommendations for good quality, reasonable price ones? Thanks

The more I read about this it does look like the FZ1000 is the one for me. The range of the lens is is an added bonus for the price too. You have confirmed my initial thoughts, thanks for the response, it is appreciated.

HH pano on the way down of snowdon

Went up today....by train :) the wind was pretty wild and standing on the summit was pretty scary. Walked down and people who were walking up were turning round and going back down because of the wind. Got loads of pics...I'll start a thread maybe when I get home tomorrow night.

That's a cracking shot, especially being handheld. Me and the wife are going up Snowdon tomorrow so I hope I get something anywhere near that quality.

    Golden Sunset At Sutton Bank

It is all about opinions but I do agree with you. The crop for me is too tight on the rework, the original give a great sense of scale whilst still keeping the beautiful light throughout the image. Saying that the cropped image is still a cracker.:)

    York Minster Interior

Both excellent images, the control over exposure is superb. If you had just rotated the camera ccw a tad on the roof shot to get it symmetrical would have made it near on perfect imo.

    Ardersier Beach - Scottish Highlands

I like both but the light in the first makes it a really special image.

    Burnham-On-Sea Sunset

Excellent control over the exposure and I love the clouds. Very nice.

Blue Hour - Albert Bridge London

I really like this but on my "uncalibrated" monitor the left hand side of the railings bottom left looks a muddy red colour and my eyes keep getting drawn towards it.

    Caernarfon pier

I like this very much. There seems to be a great depth of field for f2.8.
