I had a problem with the preview after the recent update. It wasn't quite the same as yours. My problem was that the preview window was showing too much blue. I solved it by turning off the use graphic processor option. Go to Edit/Preferences/Camera Raw and then untick the use graphics processor...
Thanks for your comments everyone. I'm glad that they may have encouraged some to try out long exposures like I have just done and others to visit this waterfall. I agree that I may have over-muted the highlights somewhat. That's possibly a tendency I have with my photos generally. I just put...
Having visited Settle many times over the years, I was surprised that I hadn't heard of the picturesque Scalebar Force until I happened to come across some images on the internet. I'd never used ND filters before and was very grateful to another photographer who happened to be there when I...

Thanks Paul and Kodiak with the tip about the twigs. I've removed them now:

No, I didn't have time to go into St. Peter's. Not on this occasion anyway - I did go in around 10 years ago.
I enjoyed the photos on your Flickr page - particularly the Pantheon (I didn't succeed in getting a decent view of this).
Thanks Paul. I took it from the top deck of the tour bus as we waited at the traffic lights. It's just a pity that the sun wasn't immediately behind the dome rather than a little to the right of it but I'm pleased with the outcome of the shot nonetheless.
