I've got the Domke F-803. For my needs it's almost perfect. Fits my EM10, 14-150mm, 14-42EZ, 18mm f1.8, 45mm f1.8 along with spare batteries/ charger etc if needed. I was after a narrow messenger/satchel type bag and I've been really impressed.
I've got the 14-150mm which is now my default walkabout/holiday lens and is the one that normally lives on my E-M10 as I'm lazy and I love the massive range it gives me - that said it's not always the sharpest (again that is probably down to my extremely lazy style and snapshot attitude while...
I've just come back from a few days in Bruges with my entire M43 kit slung over my shoulder in my Domke bag - camera, 4 lenses, charger & spare batteries and not once did it ever become too heavy. No shoulder/neck/back pain or anything. The whole lot is still a lot lighter than my D90 with...
I'm after a quick bit of advice for a friend.
They are getting married soon and want a reasonable camera with a decent zoom capability for their honeymoon, but have a maximum budget of £200. They won't be interested in loads of different settings so a decent Auto mode and half decent lower...
I've recently faced a similar predicament - my Nikon D90 was sat in its bag for months on end as it was to big/heavy/cumbersome to carry around all the time. A recent holiday finally sealed it for me, the D90 remained in the room most of the time, especially when out in an evening because of...
I've gone from finding a back-pack style of bag the most comfortable (when I had my DSLR) to preferring a messenger/satchel style for my M43 gear. I've just got hold of a Domke F-803 from the classified section which is the bag I wanted originally (but couldn't justify the new price). I've got a...
I've got the silver em10 and a selection of both black & silver lenses. The advantage is that they both look right on the silver whereas I'm not sure that a silver lens would work on a black body. I spent some time trying to decide on which colour to choose beforehand and I haven't regretted it...
I've recently moved over to M43 from a Nikon D90. Before making the move over I checked various reviews, specs etc and was almost certain that I would be walking out with a Sony a6000 but I (eventually) ended up with the Olympus E-M10 and it's great.
It has more direct control than the Sony...
My apologies if this is not the correct place, but I have a couple of questions. I made the move to M43 and the Olympus E-M10 over a month ago. Obviously I'm suffering from GAS already, but I'm really enjoying this little wonder however, the only thing that I'm missing is the ease (laziness?) of...
Just a quick update - I collected my new.......Olympus OMD E-M10 today. It's early days, and looks like it might be a steep re-learning curve, however early impressions are good (the main issue so far is the Olympus lenses zoom the wrong way).
Managed to get a reasonable deal from LCE on the...
Thanks for that shadow_boxer, I was just about to update on here when I received notification that a post had been put on the thread (I've just updated your thread elsewhere as well).
The difference in price between the two may well have made my mind up now. I do prefer the way that the a6000...
Just noticed that Olympus now have a summer "sale" on from 12th May. This includes £75 cashback on the OMD EM10. This may have made my mind up as the whole kit for the Olympus will now come in at about £205 cheaper than the Sony a6000!
Thanks for the replies so far, they're greatly appreciated.
I've discounted the Fuji range - overall cost and lack of scene settings. The wife was just starting to take a passing interest in photography until I got the DSLR and I'm hoping that having scene modes in a relatively light weight...
Okay folks, apologies if this has been posted before (I've had a search and although I can find similar posts, they're not quite as specific as the advice/suggestions that I'm ideally after).
I've currently got a Nikon D90 (along with the 18-105mm kit lens & 70-300mm VR) which, mainly owing to...
