10-22 is an EF-S lens, that means it will not work on the front of a full frame camera (5D, 6D, 1D etc). Not a problem because 10mm on a crop (xxxD, xxD and 7D cameras) has the same field of view as 16mm on a full frame.

When it came out lots of people were posting all over the place about focus problems. I do think there were a few dodgy units out there, but it sort of became a self fulfilling prophecy, people became convinced their camera was faulty, when in fact they really needed to understand how the focus...

Don't use any virus software on my phone or tablet, there is no need imho. Most android malware is in China and specific to them from what I read. Provided you only pull stuff from the play store I really don't think you have anything to worry about.

Its more than just the sensor. When the 7D came out its AF system was far in advance of anything else on the crop sensor market wasn't it ? From all I read half the reason its yet to be replaced is its still selling well. I've always thought the whole Nikon vs Canon thing is more about which...

I didn't say the 17-55 lens was bad, all I said was (imho) its too short. No point having the best lens ever if you can't frame the shots you want.

Disagree, its too short. When I had an 18-55 lens I was forever swapping to my 55-250 and back again. Drove me mad. 17-55 is EF-S only too, so useless if you upgrade to full frame. I'm more than happy with my 24-105.

I was going to get one but never quite got around to it, I thought the "herringbone" ones you can get on ebay looked good. There is a thread on POTN about them

if that software is downloaded & installed on your machine and doesn't run in a browser I would be happy enough to install it. For home users the real problems are when you run it via a browser.
