Any tips for post processing on cloudscapes/skies? Got this the other day which I'm pleased with but it doesn't have the colour pop that I'd look for.

Thanks in advance everyone!
This looks like a dark blue layer set to 'exclusion' blending.
Like the feel of the image but lacking in shadows/black areas. Try fiddling with a curves layer to achieve this if you think it's worth a go :)
Nice shot though.
I can see what you were going for here and like your thought process, just as gramps suggested it doesn't have any context, doesn't tell a story or draw the eye in towards a subject.
The dark, moody and derelict convent scene seems to clash with the bright and cheery umbrella, and although in...
Ah right I posted it on the 'most viewed flickr image' thread about 2 days ago so perhaps that's where? Wouldn't have been from a while back, taken and uploaded around early/mid May I think.
Thanks again for all comments :)
The guy who does the stunts in the first image has been doing it for a while and is quite a unique attraction at Sacra Coeur. I'm sure there are thousands of images of him doing this route on Flickr.
I can assure you I was the original creator of the above image though :)
Great feedback from Andrew there, I would agree with all points. Also I know it's a personal thing but the white vignetting is a big turn off for me.
Keep at it Paul!
Thanks, I'm sure I can find them some wall space over the next few months :)
Thanks, it's my first time there so perhaps next time I go I can capture something different.

I'll be honest, I think losing the framing around the building by correcting the distortion compromises the photo for me. Still always worth trying something different!
Thanks, canvasses can be arrange at a special discount, haha :D I keep thinking about getting some of my shots put on the wall although I don't think I'm good enough to warrant that yet. Maybe I'll save it for some point in the future as a treat/reward for producing some truly great...
I agree, the vignette is a little much so I've gone back, taken some of that out and re-uploaded it. Yes it's a football he's using to do keepy-uppies (or however it's spelt!). Amazing to see.
It's my favourite too :)
Thanks very much, it's been a while since I've done some proper photography...
Hi Julian,
I like the black and white along with the straight lines of the trees, my only criticism is that I don't think there's enough there to provide an interesting subject and compositionally it's not very strong.
Often shots like these are a fleeting moment where you can't go back and...
