Lonely tree in the Peak District at sunset

Thanks, believe it not the sky wasn't that much more interesting, i do have one further left but decided against it. The other issue is although it appears to be in the middle of know where, a road, wall and odd bushes start to creep in to the left.:banghead:

Lonely tree in the Peak District at sunset

As this little spot is only 10 mins from my home I have attempted it a few times but never quite got the light / sky, however after a rushed visit the other night & arriving with about 5-10 minutes to spare I am pleased with the results. Just cant decide on landscape or portrait. The portrait...

Hi all, sorry for not being on here to reply. Thanks for all the comments and the edit mrtoad, although to me that does seem over processed but maybe that's just a personal thing, however I do believe the barn and grass could be pushed more and I had removed the pole then decided to leave it, i...

Circular Polarizers - Which one to buy?

So, as i'm slowly getting more time to get back out and shoot some landscape stuff, I am finding I never use my old cokin filter system but instead do exposure blending, I feel this works well for me and gets me good results. However, the polarizer I had was also the cokin one which fitted in...

Curbur / Froggot Edge Peak District

Went for a trek up my local edge, by the time I got up there the sky was rubbish and it was a bit hazy in the distance, so I sat for a bit and eventually it took a turn. This I thought was the best out of the bunch and one I thought may be worth a show.

Magic Hour at Stanage Edge, Derbyshire

Yes it is burnt out and definitely feels "in the way", and it was strong so unless I took it "out of the shot" there wasn't a lot i could do, and "out of shot" meant not much to photograph. All a learning curve :) Thanks Andy

Canon 17-55 is, was this a bad copy?

Hi, your right, but link i posted shows a post where someone also suggests a 17-55 and refers to it being the quality of L glass. Yes its quite clear that in the comparisons, the tamron comes across significantly sharpr, even in the corners at all ranges, i dont quite get it. Andy
